What is Speech & Language Therapy?
Speech and language therapy helps children develop the skills they need to communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively in their everyday lives. Communication includes not only speaking, but also understanding language, expressing ideas, interacting with others, and participating in conversations.

What We Do:
Speech therapy can support children who are experiencing challenges with:
-
Speaking clearly and being understood
-
Understanding language and following directions
-
Expressing thoughts, ideas, and needs
-
Social communication (e.g., taking turns, staying on topic, reading social cues)
-
Stuttering or disruptions in speech flow
-
Early communication skills, including gestures, sounds, and first words
Signs Your Child May Benefit:
You might consider a speech evaluation if your child:
-
Is difficult to understand for their age
-
Is not yet using words, phrases, or sentences as expected
-
Has trouble following directions or answering questions
-
Gets frustrated when trying to communicate
-
Has difficulty interacting with peers or engaging in conversation
-
Stutters or repeats sounds or words frequently
